Below are my eeeeasy, fool-proof drinks to add some extra flavor and fun to your day!

We want to drink something bubbly and fun at an event

We want to enjoy fun flavors and enjoy some variety!

Drinks are an easy way to do all of this.

Choosing drinks strategically can satisfy these wants, WITHOUT derailing your progress! Overview of drinks:

  1. Drinks without sugar alternatives

  2. Drinks with sugar alternatives

NOTE: All these drinks have 0 FoodFlip Portions (close to calorie-free), contributing minimally to your daily nutritional needs.

Let's dive into adding flavor and LIFE to your day with drinks!

1. Drinks without sugar alternatives (0 FoodFlip Portions)

☕️ black coffee

  • coffee (I love pecan-flavored, dark roast beans!)

    • Note: light roast coffee beans have more antioxidants than dark roast. But, I value flavor more and choose dark roast! It's ok to choose flavor😉

  • spices: cinnamon, cayenne pepper

  • optional additions:

    • sugar alternative: butter pecan stevia drops (from Amazon)

      • These are my fav!! I only added stevia drops recently; I think it's great without!

    • 1 tsp vanilla or chocolate protein powder as a creamer alternative! (or add regular creamer😉)

🍫 Hot chocolate

  • hot water

  • unsweetened cocoa powder

  • spices: cinnamon, cayenne pepper

  • optional sugar alternative: hazelnut stevia drops "SweetLeaf" brand (from Amazon)

    • I only added stevia drops recently; I think it's great without!

    • Can omit the stevia drops if you are a dark chocolate/bitter flavor lover

I love this drink when I'm done drinking coffee but still want a hot drink to sip on! This is a great coffee alternative if you're looking to lower caffeine/coffee intake.

🫖 Hot tea

Any hot tea can feel so cozy!

Try a hot peppermint tea after meals to help with digestion and create an enjoyable post-meal routine.

  • Finding something that makes you smile post-meal can help rewire habits, especially going back for mindless seconds or thirds when you're already satisfied 🫶

These are so fun and easy! You could make your own, but this is a quick and easy alternative.

If making your own infused water feels overwhelming, try the premade water infusion packets! Figure out a flavor you like, then when you're ready, try making it yourself!

  • Combo ideas:

    • sliced cucumber + mint + lime

    • lemon + basil + strawberry

    • ginger & cinnamon & thyme + cranberry & orange

    • cinnamon + apple & grapefruit

    • rosemary + lemon & blueberry

Mix and match any of the following:

  • 🥒 Vegetables: cucumber, jalapeño, peppers, arugula

    • 🧄 believe it or not, you can add just a couple small pieces of minced garlic (especially with when combined with ginger & lemon) for an extra zing! Look at the ingredients of some green smoothie drinks (like the Green Machine smoothie, brand "Naked"). You'll see sometimes garlic is one of the ingredients!!

  • 🌱 Herbs/spices: mint, rosemary, basil, oregano, thyme; cinnamon, ginger

  • 🍓 Fruit: lemon/lime, orange, strawberry, cranberry, grape, blueberries, grapefruit, watermelon, kiwi, mango, pineapple, blackberries, peach, acai

  • 🌹Flowers are bouji! If you have access to edible flowers, you could add hibiscus, rose... this is a lil above my effort level 😅 but you do you!

Note: the contents of your infused water will have a shorter shelf life (bacteria growth rate increases with more moisture, especially if warm).

  • Wash your infusion ingredients

  • Keep your infused water cold (add ice!)

  • Eat or dispose of ingredients by the next day.

  • simple electrolyte drink

    • Electrolyte packet ("Propel" brand)

    • Water

  • the athlete's margarita

    • Electrolyte packet ("Propel" brand, strawberry kiwi flavor)

    • Margarita drink mix ("Margaritaville" brand)

    • Lime juice

    • Water

    • Optional: Have fun and add salt around the rim of your glass, especially if you just got done sweating and need to refuel!

💡Did you know you can make your own electrolyte mix? Especially for athletes who sweat and have high nutritional needs, it can be a big money saver to make these yourself!

Electrolyte mix recipe idea coming soon!

  • matcha powder: 1 tsp (2g)

  • vanilla protein powder: 1/2 Tbsp (5g)

  • water: 1/2 cup

  • ice: 1 handful

If you want to add more protein, add 1/2 cup cottage cheese!

2. Drinks with sugar alternatives (0 FoodFlip Portions) ✨

🍊 Mimosa mocktail

  • orange-flavored sparkling water

  • apple cider vinegar: just a splash!

Bonus: Use fun glasses!

  • sweet tea sugar-free syrup, "Splenda" brand

  • tropical flavored sparkling water

  • pickled jalapeño bri

  • Margarita drink mix ("Margaritaville" brand)

  • tropical flavored sparkling water

  • pickled jalapeño brine

  • optional: lime juice

This recipe is similar to the "Tropical jalapeño tea mocktail", just swap the splenda sweet tea syrup with this sugar-free marg drink mix!

  • instant coffee

  • cinnamon

  • butter pecan stevia drops

  • sweet tea sugar-free syrup, "Splenda" brand

  • lemon juice

  • pumpkin spice blend

    • I like making my own blend! Here are the spices I use, in order from most to least:

  • Pomegranate cranberry sugar-free syrup, "Stur" brand

    • I do NOT like any other "Stur" syrups!! LOL they give me an aftertaste...

  • Sweet tea sugar-free syrup, "Splenda" brand

  • Glazed lemon loaf flavor, "TAZO" brand

  • optional sugar alternative: vanilla stevia drops

And that wraps up the drinks that have been giving me LIFE!
